Pastor Leroy Reeves, Jr.

A Man After God's Own Heart

Pastor Reeves is the lead Shepherd of the Center Hill Baptist Church located in Macon , Georgia . He is considered one of Macon 's most notable Pastors based on his ability to assist in leading others to Christ, community affiliates, and efforts to improve conditions that plague the Middle Georgia area. Prior to coming to Center Hill in 1989, he was the Pastor of Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church in Powersville , Georgia for two successful years.

Pastor Reeves was born April 19, 1946 to the late Deacon Leroy Reeves, Sr. and Annie Mae Reeves. He received his educational foundation from the Bibb County Public School System where he was a 1964 graduate of Ballard Hudson High School . After high school, he joined the United States Army where he served for three years. His travels extended from Europe, to Southeast Asia, and a plethora of U.S. cities. Currently, he is retired from the Federal Defense Logistics Agency where he effectively completed 30 years of service.

In an effort to broaden his scope of knowledge professionally and spiritually, Pastor Reeves completed the Business Administration program at Macon Technological Institute where he earned a certificate. He received his specialized training from the military and Federal Civilian schools. In 1996, he earned a diploma in Biblical Studies from Liberty Home Bible Institute in Lynchburgh, Virginia.

Pastor Reeves has a wealth of experience that contributes to his knowledge base in effective Pastoral leadership and living a Christian life. He served as a Deacon for 11 years and Sunday School Superintendent for 16 years at the Center Hill Baptist Church before being called to preach in 1985. Other past and present affiliates include: President of the Congress of Christian Education, participant and attendee at the Georgia Missionary Baptist Convention, sits on the Board of Directors of Faith Evangelism Incorporated, President of Evangelical Ministers Alliance and Vicinity of Macon, and Vice-President of the Baptist Ministers Union and Vicinity of Macon.

His ultimate accomplishment was accepting Christ as his personal Savior. His greatest accomplishment was marrying the former Deloris Chambliss in 1968. They are blessed to have two children: Ingrid and Kevin, and they are the proud grandparents of Christina, Rakim, Kevin Jr., and Kaitlyn
